Imagine our students using iPads instead of textbooks. We’ve been imagining that, too. So this year, the Edfund granted $27,147 to fund a pilot program to assess the benefits of an “all iPad” learning experience with a small group of ninth graders.
Most of the grant went towards the purchase of 30 iPads, with the remainder dedicated to the professional development and curriculum development for teachers.
These xylophones are designed to offer total, active involvement in music-making that incorporates speech, singing, movement, and instrument playing in a creative environment.
It develops the whole child with a balance of emotional and intellectual stimulation.
Now Buker Elementary School is on par with the music programs of Cutler and Winthrop.
The Edfund is hosting a very special event on May 3rd, 2014 as a fundraiser for the Elementary School iPad grant.
Themed "Going Places" the event will be held in an airport hangar at Beverly Airport.

Virtual High School allows students to take interest-based courses that cannot be offered at the Regional School.
The Edfund has made a three-year commitment to expand the Virtual High School program by one classroom, 25 seats per semester, thereby expanding high school curriculum choices beyond our four walls.
